NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing BJP workers and leaders on the concluding day of the party’s National Convention in New Delhi, emphasised the BJP government’s strong standing both domestically and internationally, stating that even foreign nations are confident of its return to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking about India’s diplomatic achievements, PM Modi underscored the significant improvement in relations with Arab nations. Highlighting recent visits to UAE and Qatar, the PM emphasised that the strides made in trade, tourism, and technology, symbolised by the highest honours conferred by five Arab countries. He attributed this success not just to himself but to the entire nation.

“When I took oath in 2014, many of our critics said that what experience does Modi have outside a state. Many things were said about foreign policy. Recently I visited UAE and Qatar. The world is seeing how our relations with other countries are better in trade, tourism, and technology.Five Arab countries gave me the highest honour of their country, this is not the honour of PM Modi but the honour of 140 crore countrymen,”he remarked.
PM Modi’s official visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 13-14 and to Qatar from February 14-15 further solidified bilateral ties.

Previously, while praising PM Modi’s foreign policy, Home Minister Amit Shah had remarked that there used to be a misconception suggesting that prioritising international friendships meant compromising national security.

Nevertheless, PM Modi affirmed that “nothing surpasses India’s security,” with Shah highlighting Modi’s efforts to transform India into a global leader and foster a sense of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” where everyone perceives the world as one large family.
The BJP National Convention served as a platform to showcase the party’s achievements and vision for the future, both domestically and on the global stage.
