NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu to join the probe regarding the PMLA case involving former Jharkhand Minister Hemant Soren. Sahu has been asked to appear before the ED on February 10.

The luxury car seized by the ED from Soren’s Delhi residence is allegedly linked to Sahu, prompting the ED to question him about this connection.

A source revealed, “The BMW seized from Hemant Soren’s Delhi residence was registered at the address of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu’s residence in Manesar. Sahu’s company’s addresses were also linked to income tax recoveries exceeding Rs 250 crore.”

Sahu was recently raided by the Income Tax Department, leading to the recovery of approximately Rs 250 crore in cash. The raids extended to premises associated with Sahu and various private firms across Odisha, Kolkata, and Jharkhand.

Now, Sahu’s involvement in the Soren case will be examined, as Soren remains in ED custody following his recent arrest in connection with the PMLA case.
