Army Chief encourages NCC cadets to inspire youth as role models

On Tuesday, the Chief of the Army, General Manoj Pande, encouraged National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their endeavours and serve as role models for the youth of our nation.

NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, the Chief of the Army, General Manoj Pande, encouraged National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their endeavours and serve as role models for the youth of our nation. Additionally, he emphasised the substantial role played by the NCC in various national building activities.

He shared these remarks while visiting the ongoing Republic Day camp of the NCC, expressing his pleasure that numerous former NCC cadets have attained prominent positions in the government and Armed Forces. He encouraged the cadets to assume leadership roles not only in the Armed Forces but also in various other professions.

The Chief of Army Staff inspected a remarkable ‘Guard of Honour’ presented by well-dressed cadets representing all three wings of the NCC—Army, Navy, and Air Force. Following this, there was an outstanding band performance by NCC cadets from Scindia School. Subsequently, Pande toured the ‘Flag Area,’ which was set up by NCC cadets showcasing themes related to social awareness and cultural activities. The cadets offered a thorough briefing on the themes associated with their respective State Directorates.

Later, Pande toured the ‘Hall of Fame,’ a cherished asset of the NCC exhibiting a diverse archival assortment featuring alumni photographs, models, motivational items, and thematic displays from all three wings of the NCC.

The Chief of the Army praised the cadets for their flawless appearance, outstanding ‘Guard of Honour,’ and an enthralling cultural programme. He encouraged the cadets to have faith in their abilities, build determination, and progress with unwavering resolve. He extended his best wishes to all NCC cadets for success in their future pursuits.
