The animated video envisions Netanyahu’s assassination through a time bomb planted under his desk.
New Delhi: The Iranian military has released an animated video portraying the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The video comes in the wake of the death of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) senior adviser Sayyed Razi Mousavi in an airstrike near Damascus, as reported by a state-run Iranian news outlet and corroborated by Reuters on December 25.
Mousavi, the chief coordinator of Iran’s military alliance with Syria, played a crucial role in the region where Israel has been conducting airstrikes for an extended period. The IRGC has attributed his death to an Israeli airstrike, although the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has declined to comment on the matter.

The animated video envisions Netanyahu’s assassination through a time bomb planted under his desk. This provocative depiction follows a statement from the IRGC issuing a warning to Israel, asserting that “the usurper and savage Zionist regime will pay for this crime.”

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Israel would “certainly pay the price” for Mousavi’s death and characterising it as a “sign of the Zionist regime’s frustration and weakness in the region.”

Razi Mousavi was a close associate of the late Gen. Qassim Soleimani, head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, who was killed in a US drone strike in Iraq in January 2020. Mousavi, one of the oldest advisers of the IRGC in Syria, had reportedly lived in the country for up to 30 years, coordinating the military alliance between Iran and Syria from his office inside the Syrian Defense Ministry.
As tensions in the region escalate, the international community watches closely, with concerns about the potential repercussions of this latest development in the longstanding conflict between Iran and Israel.
