NEW DELHI: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially divorced, marking the end of their four-year-long marriage. The Bandra Family Court granted the divorce on March 20, 2025, following a mutual consent petition filed earlier this year. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, had been living separately since June 2022 due to compatibility issues.
The Bombay High Court expedited the divorce proceedings, waiving the mandatory six-month cooling-off period under the Hindu Marriage Act. Chahalโs professional commitments influenced this decision, as he is set to participate in the IPL 2025 season. As part of the settlement, Chahal agreed to pay an alimony of โน4.75 crore, of which โน2.37 crore has already been disbursed.
