Adityanath Yogi accused Kejriwal of calling the holy Yamuna river a “sin” and transforming it into a “dirty drain.”

NEW DELHI: Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, repeatedly criticized the AAP and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, at a BJP rally in Delhi on Thursday, saying the party has impeded capital city’s progress in the last ten years.

Yogi also emphasized the importance of implementing the BJP’s “double-engine” government in the capital.

UP CM claimed that the AAP and its ministers were helping illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas settle in Delhi’s Okhla neighborhood.

He accused Kejriwal of calling the holy Yamuna river a “sin” and transforming it into a “dirty drain.”

“I took a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj, where Maha Kumbh is located, yesterday with all of my ministers. I would like to know if Kejriwal can take a bath. If he has any moral courage, he ought to respond,” Yogi remarked.

The AAP government, according to Yogi, has made Delhi a “garbage dump” and disregarded basic utilities like electricity and clean water.

Yogi also said that the people never received the promised subsidies. He also blamed the AAP for the nation’s capital’s bad roads, sewage overflows, drinking water problems, and poor sanitation.

Yogi went on to compare Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, asserting that the former’s roads in Noida and Ghaziabad are superior to the latter’s. He also praised the scope and importance of the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.

Yogi Adityanath’s speech was his first rally in the Kirari area before the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5, the results will be revealed on February 8.
