WWE fame John Cena attends Ambani wedding, meets Shah Rukh Khan

NEW DELHI: The wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant continue to captivate Mumbai, with the ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ scheduled on July 13, and the ‘Mangal Utsav’ wedding reception on July 14. Among the high-profile attendees at the extravagant event was American actor and WWE champion John Cena, whose presence added an international flair to the festivities.

John Cena’s attendance at the wedding on July 12 created quite a buzz, especially when he met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Sharing his excitement on social media, Cena posted a picture with Shah Rukh Khan on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his admiration for the actor and calling it a surreal time. He also thanked the Ambani family for inviting him.

Cena’s heartfelt post highlighted the impact Shah Rukh Khan has had on him, which resonated with fans globally. The two icons shared a memorable moment, marking a significant cultural crossover between Hollywood and Bollywood.

Throughout the wedding ceremony, John Cena was seen immersing himself in the celebratory atmosphere. Videos circulating online show Cena dancing to the beats of dhol and being warmly greeted by the Ambani family. In one clip, Cena is seen energetically dancing with dhol performers, while another video captures his warm reception by Mukesh Ambani and Isha Ambani.

Cena’s engagement with the event extended to a viral selfie with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. In the photo, Cena is seen wearing a floral embroidered blue sherwani paired with a beige pagadi (turban), embracing traditional Indian attire.

Cena’s admiration for Shah Rukh Khan is well-documented. Previously, he was seen singing ‘Bholi Si Surat’ from SRK’s film Dil To Pagal Hai during a gym session with wrestler Gurv Sihra. Over the years, Cena has shared several posts dedicated to the Bollywood icon, further endearing himself to Shah Rukh’s fans.

The grand wedding celebrations have, however, caused some inconvenience for residents and office workers in Mumbai. Traffic restrictions have been imposed from July 12 to 15 around the wedding venue in the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai’s bustling financial district, leading to frustration among commuters.
