NEW DELHI: A courageous woman embarked on a solo drive from Bangalore to Ayodhya, covering a vast distance to seek divine blessings at the newly constructed Ram temple. The consecration ceremony of the temple was officiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22.

The ardent devotee began her inspiring journey from Malleshwaram in Bangalore, traversing the lengthy route to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. However, she wasn’t truly alone; she was accompanied by the spiritual presence of Yellamma.

Yellamma is a revered Hindu goddess predominantly worshipped in the South Indian states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. She holds a significant place in Hindu mythology as the mother of Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Even though she drove alone, her profound desire to connect with the divine and seek the blessings of Lord Ram was a testament to the widespread devotion to Ayodhya’s Ram temple. The temple was recently opened for the public to visit on January 23, following the grand consecration ceremony attended by celebrities, politicians, saints, sports figures, and various dignitaries on January 22.

Witnesses reported that a police officer, along with other individuals, assisted her in parking her car upon reaching the holy city. This solo pilgrimage showcases the deep spiritual connection people feel towards the newly constructed Ram temple, symbolising faith, determination, and an unwavering quest for divine blessings.

As the nation celebrated the consecration ceremony attended by luminaries, the subsequent day saw a multitude of devotees arriving from across the country. Many took a ceremonial dip in the sacred waters of the river Saryu before paying their respects to the Supreme power at the newly consecrated Ram temple.
