NEW DELHI: Vivek Ramaswamy has announced a bold plan to address what he calls the bloated and ineffective federal bureaucracy. Speaking to supporters, Ramaswamy declared, “The people of this country are sick of being ruled by bureaucrats who were never elected. If we want to truly reform the government, we need to go beyond half-measures.” He went on to add, “This isn’t about trimming the edges; this is about fundamentally reshaping the way D.C. operates. We’re not bringing a chisel. We have a chainsaw at our disposal.”

Ramaswamy explained that his approach aims to remove layers of federal officials he believes are impeding progress and accountability. “This system wasn’t built to be efficient; it was built to maintain the status quo. But the American people deserve better,” he said. “We will dismantle every outdated institution standing in the way of real change.” His bold rhetoric includes firing what he terms “unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats” and implementing a private-sector style of management with a focus on results, agility, and technological innovation.

At the rally, he also made a clear call to action: “It’s time to take a sledgehammer to the whole structure if we’re going to build something that serves the people. The era of political correctness and red tape is over.”

Addressing his informal partnership with Elon Musk, Ramaswamy said, “Elon has shown the world how to break free from conventional thinking. We’re going to bring that spirit into Washington. Together, we’re going to get rid of the bureaucratic red tape holding back this nation’s potential.”

Critics warn that Ramaswamy’s aggressive approach could lead to disruptions in essential services, with some pointing out that federal departments like health, education, and safety require stability. Policy analyst David Weisz noted, “Such deep cuts could jeopardize public services in crucial areas.”

Still, Ramaswamy’s followers see his “chainsaw, not chisel” approach as necessary for confronting what they view as an overly complex and self-serving government system. He closed his speech by reaffirming his commitment: “We will bring a government that works for you, not against you. Anything less would be a betrayal of the American people.”
