NEW DELHI: Amid the Congress party expressing apprehensions over the actions of the Enforcement Directorate, Union parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi on Thursday said that whatever is happening is happening within the confines of the law and whenever any government does anything wrong, courts are always there.
“This country has such a vibrant and healthy judiciary…why are they scared to go to court,” Joshi said.
Police deployment near the Congress office in Delhi and at the residence of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi was increased Wednesday evening. The Congress party alleged that it was done to intimidate the party.
Accusing the Congress party of indulging in drama, Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the party should stop drama and answer the questions of investigative agencies. “Why are they scared if they haven’t done any wrong,” he asked.
Without naming the RSS, Rahul Gandhi Wednesday night accused the RSS of being deshdrohi.
Minister Joshi said that Rahul Gandhi is a part-time politician and keeps saying things here and there. “The country has accepted the ideology of Sangh…there is no need to give importance to comment of Rahul Gandhi,” Joshi said.
Speaking to The New Indian, BJP MP from Jharkhand Nishikant Dubey said that there is no bigger deshdrohi than Rahul Gandhi and his family.
Returning to Delhi after his two-day Karnataka visit, Rahul Gandhi said that he was not scared of Prime minister Narendra Modi and won’t get intimidated.
