As India celebrated its 75 years of Independence, the All India Trinamool Congress’ (AITC) #MyIdeaForIndiaAt75 digital campaign sought the countrymen’s view about their dream of a future India.

The three-day campaign, which TMC claims has evoked an overwhelming response so far, concluded the Independence Day festivities on a high note. “Unitedly, we can turn this dream into a reality. We can propel India to new heights. This is our dream for India!” TMC’s official handle tweeted.

The aim of the campaign is to think about the future of the country, where each strives to empower all, “where there are opportunities aplenty, where the citizens prosper, and hatred and discrimination become a thing of the past”, AITC press note reads.

Regarding this very campaign, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee’s Twitter handle reads, “I have a dream for India! For the people, I want to build a nation where no one goes hungry, where no woman feels unsafe, where every child sees the light of education, where all are treated equally, where no oppressive forces divide the people & harmony defines the day.”

National General Secretary TMC Abhishek Banerjee stated, “This nation has protected us; it has given us a sense of belonging. In turn, we as citizens need to dedicate our lives to the nation’s betterment and growth.”
