NEW DELHI: The Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, went to Hathras in the morning and to New Delhi to meet loco-pilots in the evening on Friday, July 5. Both times he was photographed by a mysterious female photographer. However, Gandhi’s movements were seen as rehearsed beforehand.

Camera footage dated July 5 at 12:48 PM suggests that he was briefed about the movement and meeting in New Delhi. This has sparked speculation that the entire event might have been staged. In one video, a girl is seen photographing Rahul Gandhi with her mobile phone. In a second footage, the same girl was observed following Rahul Gandhi and his team members during the meeting.

Gandhi visited Hathras early morning on Friday to meet families of the deceased who were victims of a stampede at a religious congregation organized by a local preacher named Surajpal alias Bhole Baba. Later in the evening, Gandhi met with loco-pilots weeks after the Kanchenjunga Express train accident in West Bengal, which claimed at least 10 lives.

He spoke with the loco-pilots and assured them that their concerns would be raised in Parliament. According to the opposition, loco-pilots have complained about inadequate sleep due to understaffing.

Congress tweeted on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Leader of Opposition Shri @RahulGandhi met the loco pilots at New Delhi Railway Station. These loco pilots are the backbone of the railways which is called the lifeline of the country. Making their lives simpler and safer will be a strong step towards railway safety.”

However, according to other media sources, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northern Railway Deepak Kumar said that the crew members with whom the Leader of Opposition had a discussion, at the railway station were not from their lobby but may be from outside.

Kumar said, “Today at around 12:45 PM, Rahul Gandhi came to New Delhi Railway Station. He visited our crew lobby with his 7-8 cameramen. After inspecting the crew lobby, he engaged in discussions with a few individuals, including 7-8 crew members who were apparently from outside our lobby.”
