SEBI barred actor Arshad Warsi and others from the securities market for their alleged involvement in a "pump and dump" scam related to Sadhna Broadcast.

Misleading YouTube videos were uploaded, resulting in small shareholders buying shares at inflated prices.

Warsi and his wife fall under the category of volume creators and allegedly made a profit of Rs 29.43 lakh and Rs 37.58 lakh, respectively.

SEBI impounded illegal gains worth Rs 41.85 crore and ordered the entities to deposit the impounded amount within 15 days.

Both YouTube channels involved in the scam have taken down their content.
