Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sompal Singh Rathore filed an FIR against the teachers of Kamla Nehru Composite Vidyalaya in Faridpur of Bareilly district.

The children were singing Urdu poet Allama Iqbal's "Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua" poem in school assembly.

After FIR, district administration of UP's Bareilly booked a principal of a government school and Shiksha Mitra.

Rathore told police 'Saraswati Vandana' and National Anthem should be recited as prayer.

Newsclick reported, "State Education Department also suspended school principal Nahid Siddiqui and ordered a probe against Shiksha Mitra Wazeeruddin for "hurting religious sentiments"."

Iqbal, a poet of dissent also penned the song 'Saare Jahan Se Achha' which is sung on Republic Day and Independence Day in India in schools.
