Shraddha Walker’s murder accused Aaftab Poonawala wants to read more in jail.

Aaftab Poonawala, who allegedly killed his live-in partner Shraddha Walker by dismembering her body, sought novels and books from Tihar jail authorities.

On Saturday, jail authorities provided him with Paul Theroux's railway odyssey The Great Railway Bazaar for his reading.

Jail authorities said, Aaftab wants to read more and indulge in literary activities.

Poonawala killed his girlfriend by strangling her in his Chhattarpur apartment in Delhi and cutting her into 35 pieces.

He kept the dismembered body in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his residence.

Poonawala has been lodged in central jail number four and is under strict vigil.
