Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan was shocked at the failure of Vikram Vedha box office collection.

He said he hoped that Hritik Roshan and himself in the film was surety enough for the success of the film.

Saif said, “No idea why Vikram Vedha failed at the box-office”.

He said the film’s performance is disappointing, hinting at the “astronomical” amounts being paid to stars in films.

He added, “Philosophically looking back, the reason we should be polite to each other is because nobody has any clue what works, what doesn’t or what’s going to happen.”

He indicated that fluctuation in pricing of actors is “insane” and “returns have not been good”.

The film budget was about 175 crores.

The film earned only Rs 80 crore at the Indian box office.
