Qavi Khan, veteran Pakistani actor, passed away at the age of 80 after prolonged illness

He had been in Canada for treatment where he died.

vQavi Khan’s career spanned decades, he covered television, theatre, films, and radio.

He started his career as a young artist at Radio Pakistan Peshawar and went on to become a famous actor in the television industry.

He acted in various dramas and films, including Muhabbat Zindagi Hai, Chand Suraj, Sarfrosh, Kalay Chor, Zameen Aasman, and Pari.

Khan also ventured into film direction but failed to achieve commercial success due to his simplicity and the cunning tactics of distributors and exhibitors.

He received numerous awards and accolades during his career, including the Pride of Performance, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, LSA lifetime achievement award, and three Nigar awards.
