Eight Indian crew members rescued by Indian Navy from capsized oil tanker off Oman

Indian Navy warship INS Teg rescued 9 crew - eight Indians and one Sri Lankan - from the capsized oil tanker MV Prestige Falcớn, late on July 17.
The tanker has a 16-member crew, which includes 13 Indians and 3 Sri Lankans, according to the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) of Oman.

The vessel had capsized on July 15 about 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah, Oman and rescue operations began in early morning of July 16.
“Search and Rescue by Indian and Omani assets is being undertaken amidst conditions rough weather conditions," the Navy said on
July 17.
