Desi rap singer Diljit Dosanjh on Sunday slammed the government’s incompetence in solving the murder of singer Punjabi rapstar Sidhu Moosewala.

Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29.

Dosanjh said, “100% this government is useless. Its politics is dirty. We can pray to God that we get justice and no such tragedy happens.”

He said he felt sorry for singer and Congress leader Moosewala's parents who had only one child.

“His father and mother, how would they be living with it? You cannot imagine what they are going through, only they know it,” he said in an interview with Film Companion.

He also said that artists like Moosewala and himself don’t have enemies and “100% this is politics.”

But sources say that Moosewala belonged to the Kaushal gang in Haryana.

Aam Aadmi Party state government pruned Moosewala’s security as there was a need for additional personnel to maintain law and order in the state.

After Moosewala’s death Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the singer's murder.
