Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan filed suit in the Delhi High court against infringement of his personality rights to save his image, name and voice from the “world at large”.

Delhi HC passed an interim order on Friday restraining people from infringing the personality and publicity rights of the legendary actor.

Harish Salve, eminent lawyer, fought Big B’s case and Justice Navin Chawla delivered the order.

Under Article 21 of the Constitution of India rights under intellectual property law, there are statutory provisions that govern and safeguard personality rights.

Big B was threatened that his name, image and voice was being used by people to expand their businesses without his permission.

In one instance his Kaun Banega Crorepati voice was being used in mobile applications for conducting lotteries.
