Committee Explores 'One Nation, One Election' Concept

A committee was formed on September 1st to study "One Nation, One Election," proposing simultaneous Lok Sabha and state assembly polls

The bill supported by the BJP government and PM Narendra Modi, this aims to streamline elections

Currently, Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are separate after a five-year term or early government dissolution
