Apple CEO Tim Cook slashes his own salary by 40% for this year

Cook’s 2023 target total compensation is $49 million.

As per Apple’s regulatory filing there is a reduction of over 40% from Cook’s 2022 target total compensation.

On January 12 the compensation committee decided on Cook’s salary after shareholder feedback.

The company has increased the percentage of performance-based Restricted Stock Units granted to Cook from 50% to 75% of his 2023 target equity award.

Cook actually made $99.4 million in 2022, according to the filing.
