JAIPUR: After the three male students of Rajasthan University did a Sholay by climbing an overhead water tank, three female students also followed suit on Monday.
Three girls from Maharani College climbed the overhead tank at around 1.30 pm on Monday, demanding free student education and guaranteed admission for all girls, setting up an open gym, a bank and an ATM along with a free e-Mitra online system in the college.
However, better sense prevailed and after hours of persuasion, the girl students relented and climbed down to safety later in the evening.
However, the three male students are still there, more than 48 hours after they climbed the overhead tank demanding an extension of the date of the student union election.
The government, on the other hand, remained adamant as it refused to extend the date of the student union election.
Three students, Narendra Yadav, Rahul Meena, and Manu Dadhich, have threatened to stay until the university administration writes a letter to the government requesting an extension of the election date.
