In an effort to address the concerns of neighboring nations, India clarified on Thursday that the Akhand Bharat map displayed inside the new parliament building is of cultural significance, while reiterating its commitment to reclaim Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). A diplomatic controversy arose last week when Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi shared a photo of the mural depicting Akhand Bharat or Undivided India, which was installed in the new parliament inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28.
