Harmukh Sheen is an initiative by the Indian Army aimed at empowering the women of Gurez Valley. Approximately fifty women are currently undergoing training in embroidery and detergent powder production for the local consumer market. These women come from neighboring villages such as Kanzalwan, Nayil, Chountiewari, Naiebasti, and Izmarg. This represents the first-of-its-kind initiative undertaken by the Indian Army in partnership with the Healing Touch Foundation, an NGO dedicated to improving the quality of life in the remote areas of the valley.
