NEW DELHI: Amid the gathering of stars for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut shared her reflections on the historic event. The towering shrine, standing 50 metres tall and dedicated to Lord Ram Lalla, now occupies the site where the Babri Masjid once stood, marking a monumental moment in history.
On Monday morning, Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to share glimpses of herself against the backdrop of the Ram temple. The caption of the photos read, “Yehi janmbhoomi hai param pujya Shri Ram ki… Jai Shri Ram. (This is the birthplace of the most revered Shri Ram… Jai Shri Ram.)” The actress, who had visited the Hanuman Garhi temple on Sunday, actively participated in a cleanliness drive and performed a yagya, showcasing her devotion and commitment to the occasion.
Drawing a parallel with the Vatican City, Kangana expressed her belief that the Ram Temple would soon gain the same reverence as the iconic religious site. Emphasising the spiritual significance, she stated, “Ayodhya will become even more famous and bigger than Rome’s Vatican City, not just in India but across the world.”
During interactions with the media, Kangana praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, foreseeing Ayodhya’s prominence on the global stage. She remarked, “Devotees who will seek darshan at the Ram temple will earn a lot of virtue. We are fortunate that Lord Ram has given us the wisdom to come and worship him here. Ram Rajya will be re-established here.”
Reflecting on the nostalgic atmosphere at the ceremony, Kangana compared the experience to ancient puranic tales, expressing, “Aaj hum Ayodhya nagri mein aaye hain, aur aisa lag raha hai ki jaise kisi pauranic kaal mein pohuch gaye hai (Today we have arrived in the city of Ayodhya, and it feels like we have reached an ancient Veda era).”
Commenting on the developmental changes in Ayodhya under Yogi Adityanath’s governance, Kangana highlighted the transformative measures, stating, “Jab vikaas ki baat kare, toh Yogi ji ka sarkaar hai, unhone puri kaaya palat di Uttar Pradesh ki.(When we talk about development, then we remember the Yogi government, under whose leadership Uttar Pradesh has changed monumentally.)
