NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni shared a warm moment after the thrilling IPL 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The encounter took place at Chennaiโs iconic Chepauk Stadium on March 28.
RCB delivered a dominant performance, defeating CSK by 50 runs. This victory marked RCBโs first win at Chepauk since 2008. Skipper Rajat Patidar led the charge with a fiery half-century, which earned him the Player of the Match award.
After the match, CSK posted a video on their official Instagram handle. The clip captured a heartwarming exchange between Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. The two cricket greats were seen engaged in a friendly chat, delighting fans across the world.

Dhoni on His Bond with Kohli
Before IPL 2025, Dhoni spoke about his relationship with Virat Kohli in an interview on JioStar. He reflected on their journey and how their friendship evolved over the years.
โI gave him honest opinions, and thatโs how our bond grew. It started as a captain and a young player relationship. But as we kept interacting, we became friends. Even now, there is a line between a senior and a junior, but we share a great companionship. Since neither of us is a captain anymore, we get more time together before the toss,โ Dhoni shared.
Dhoni also reminisced about Kohliโs early cricketing days.

โFrom the beginning, he wanted to contribute. He was never happy with 40 or 60 runs. He always aimed for a hundred and to remain not out. That hunger for big scores was visible from the start. He kept improving his batting and fitness levels, and his determination helped him succeed,โ Dhoni said.
