NEW DELHI: Condemning the murder of Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru in Karnataka, Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that if such jihadi violence is not curtailed, there might be extreme reaction to this and Hindu society won’t be responsible for this.

“If the Jihadi mindset continues to commit such sadism, viciousness and assassinations, then there will be express fury in the Hindu society and there will naturally be an extreme reaction. If this happens, then the Hindu society will not be responsible for it,” said VHP secretary general Milind Parande.

He also demanded that all such cases should be tried in fast track courts. “All cases of recent Jihadi violence and beheadings, including the slaying of Praveen Nettaru in South Kannada district in Karnataka, should be tried in fast track courts to ensure speedy justice to the victims’ families and the Hindu society,” he said.

Praveen Nettaru, a Yuva Morcha leader, was hacked to death in Dakshina Kannada late Tuesday night allegedly by Islamists. There was massive protest following his murder.

Parande said that the Muslim community should decide “which leadership it accepts – that of Madanis and Owaisis or that of Kalams and Ashfaq Ullahs”.

Appealing the Muslim community to reject the extremist leadership, Parande said, “The Muslim community will have to dismiss and eject the extremist and terrorist mindset from its social order and show it the door, otherwise the self-contradiction of their words and actions may remain.”

The VHP condemned the double-standards of Jamaat-e-Islami. Parande said that on the one-hand Jamaat helps Jihadi gangs and on the other “they pretend to offer refreshments to Kanwariyas”.

He said that there is a rampant distribution of ‘materials that promote, incite and inflame Jihadi violence’ and demanded a complete ban on it.
