NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Satish Mahana attended the Delhi Legislative Assemblyโs Budget Session as a guest on Tuesday.
Welcomed by Delhi Assembly Speaker Shri Vijender Gupta, Mahana acknowledged the historical importance of the assembly, noting its past role in parliamentary proceedings.
Commenting on the Delhi governmentโs 2025-26 budget, Mahana described it as the โBudget of Delhiโs Soul,โ highlighting its 31% increase over the previous year and focus on capital expenditure, public welfare, and Yamuna river cleanup. While his remarks praised the budgetโs vision, the fiscal planโs effectiveness will depend on its implementation and impact on Delhiโs residents.
The session saw cross-party discussions, with the opposition yet to present its detailed response.
