NEW DELHI: Security agencies are mulling a polygraph test, or lie detector test, for Pakistani woman Seema Haidar, who illegally migrated to Greater Noida for her online lover, after her interrogation revealed her brother and uncle’s links with Pakistan armed forces.

During the two-day interrogation, Seema, who crossed over to India from Nepal along with her four children, for Sachin Meena, told sleuths of the UP Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) that her brother and uncle were in the Pakistan Army.

Following interrogation, sources told The New Indian that authorities are now contemplating conducting a polygraph test or lie detector test on Seema to ascertain the truth about her arrival in India. So far, Seema has consistently maintained that she came to India solely for love.

A resident of Karachi, Pakistan, 27-year-old Seema crossed into India from Nepal in a private bus in May. According to her account, she met Sachin in Nepal in March, where they got married at a temple and spent seven days together in a hotel in Kathmandu.

Seema claimed that her desire to marry Sachin motivated her to illegally enter India without a visa, leaving her previous husband, Ghulam Haider, in Pakistan.

The Greater Noida Police arrested Seema, Sachin, and his father, Netrapal, on July 1, after receiving information about her presence in the village of Rabupura. They were later granted bail by a local court.

Since obtaining bail, Seema and her four children have been residing with Sachin and his family in Rabupura village. During this period, Seema has become the subject of public curiosity and she gave multiple interviews to various media outlets.

On Monday, the UP ATS took Seema and Sachin into custody and brought them to their Noida office for further questioning. Seema was interrogated for six hours. On Tuesday, they were once again taken to the ATS office for further inquiries, along with her two children.

During the questioning, Seema reiterated her story of how she came into contact with Sachin in India through the PUBG game in 2019.

However, during the interrogation, Seema also disclosed that her brother and uncle are associated with the Pakistani Army, with her uncle holding the rank of a subedar. She claimed to have no contact with them and did not possess their contact information.

Two videos of Pakistan were found on Seema’s mobile phones. One of the phones was reportedly purchased for ₹70,000 after selling her property in Karachi for ₹12 lakhs before coming to India.

The data from all four of her mobile phones are yet to be fully examined by the agencies.

During the interrogation, ATS also inquired if Seema was familiar with code words in the Urdu language. Interestingly, Seema claimed to have limited knowledge of Urdu while being proficient in Hindi, according to sources.

Seema responded boldly to all questions posed by the agency during the questioning, sources said.
