NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav launched a fierce attack on the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, accusing it of manipulating the recruitment process for 69,000 assistant teachers and playing with the future of the stateโs children.
He also attacked Deputy CM, Keshav Maurya by saying that CM can shut him up, he said, โ
Agar Mukhyamantri ji daant dein unhe, to chup ho jayeinge, ye sach hai, mjhe bataya gaya hai, pata bhi nahi chalega ki kaun deputy cm hai, agar ap (media) mjhpar bharosha nahi karte to pata chal jayga.
Which in English translates to, If the CM scolds him (Keshav Maurya), he will be quiet. It is true. I have been told this, no one will know that who is deputy CM. If you donโt believe me. You will know.

Yadav criticised the government for its alleged mishandling of reservations, particularly affecting backward classes and Dalits. He claimed that BJP had reversed earlier results that were based on the original reservation system, causing harm to marginalized communities. โAfter four days, BJP changed the results and shifted the system through the Supreme Court,โ Yadav said. โAt that time, 1,800 Dalit candidates lost their jobs.โ
He further accused the government of exploiting the reservation system to cover up its own corruption and blamed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for failing to resolve the issue. โThe government is playing with the future of its children to hide its own corruption,โ Yadav stated. โIf the Chief Minister cannot find a way out of the 69,000-recruitment issue, then he should step down.โ

Yadavโs remarks come amid increasing discontent with the BJP governmentโs handling of teacher recruitment, with claims that the party is using policies to divide people and create conflicts. He pointed to BJPโs consistent attempts to manipulate the reservation system for political gain, which he believes has resulted in a flawed process that undermines the rights of many candidates.
Yadavโs comments reflect growing tensions and rift over governance in Uttar Pradesh and fuel the ongoing debate over reservation policies, corruption, and accountability within the stateโs education sector.
