NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet has unanimously adopted a resolution applauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Lord Ram at the newly inaugurated Ram temple in Ayodhya. The grand opening on January 22 marked a momentous occasion, drawing devotees from around the world eager to witness the consecration of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya.
Expressing their felicitations, the Union Cabinet extended greetings to PM Modi for leading the ceremonial enthronement of Ram Lalla at his birthplace, calling it a fulfillment of a centuries-old dream integral to Indian civilisation. The resolution, deemed ‘historic’ by the cabinet, highlighted that the enthronement and the temple’s inauguration were momentous events after centuries of anticipation.

The Cabinet lauded Modi as a “Jan Nayak” or people’s leader, attributing this title to the overwhelming love and affection shown by the public. The resolution highlighted that Modi has not only become a leader of the masses but has also played a crucial role in ushering in a new era for the nation.

According to the resolution, PM Modi, in his address, emphasised Lord Ram as the influencer, guiding force, policy, and destiny of India. The cabinet stated that the Prime Minister, from a spiritual perspective, was chosen for the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram, symbolising India’s cultural flow and global influence.
It further emphasised the significance of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ as not just a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ but a ‘once-in-many-lifetimes’ moment. Cabinet members regarded themselves fortunate to be part of the highest committee in the country during this historic occasion.
“You (PM Modi) said in your address that Lord Ram is the influence, flow, policy and destiny of India. And today we can say, not from a political point of view, but from a spiritual point of view, that destiny has chosen you for the Pran Pratishtha of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram, the pillar of India’s Sanatani flow and global influence,” the cabinet stated in its resolution.

“If we look at reality, then this opportunity for the cabinet members cannot be called a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but once in many lifetimes. We are all fortunate that on this occasion we are present in the country’s highest committee, the Cabinet,” it added
