Udaipur Horror Case: NIA Searches 9 Locations In Udaipur

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday carried out searches at nine locations in Rajasthan’s Udaipur in connection with the murder of Kanhaiya Lal Teli.

An NIA spokesperson here said that the agency carried out searches at the premises linked to the accused and suspects.

The official said that during the searches at the premises of the accused and suspects in the case, digital devices (mobile phones, laptops and SIM cards) and other incriminating materials have been seized.

The case relates to the killing of Teli in Udaipur by two assailants, armed with sharp weapons at his shop situated in Maldas Street on June 28. Teli was killed by Riyaz Attari and Ghous Mohammad. They also recorded their action camera. The duo also recorded their confessional video brandishing their sharp weapon and also threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Both were arrested from the Rajsamand area of the state by the police.

The NIA had registered a case on June 29 on the orders of the Union ministry of home affairs. The agency has to date arrested seven people in connection with the case.
