Two Army personnel injured in Doda encounter

JAMMU: Two army personnel sustained injuries during a clash that erupted early Thursday morning between terrorists and security forces in the Kastigarh area of Doda district.

Officials informed The New Indian that suspicious activity was detected by the army near LHS Zada. Upon conducting searches, the forces engaged with terrorists, leading to an encounter.

In the initial exchange of encounters, two army personnel were wounded and promptly transported to a nearby hospital, officials reported.

Earlier this week, on Monday, four Indian Army soldiers, including a Major, were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have initiated a significant crackdown on the terror network in Doda.

According to the police, numerous overground workers and supporters of terrorists have been apprehended, and the crackdown has been intensified. Concurrently, a counter-terror operation is ongoing in the Desa area of Doda.

A substantial number of soldiers from the army and paramilitary forces are conducting search operations and area domination in the region.
