NEW DELHI: US President Donald Trump, in a recent interview, outlined an ambitious plan for his first day back in the White House, promising to implement sweeping changes across key policy areas. Through executive orders and swift actions, Trump aims to overturn Biden administration initiatives and reinforce his “America First” agenda.

“We’re going to have the biggest deportation operation ever,” Trump said during the interview, emphasizing his focus on immigration. He detailed plans to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants and reintroduce his travel ban targeting certain countries. “We will restore the travel bans to keep radical Islamic terrorism out of our country,” he stated.

On energy, Trump vowed to reverse environmental regulations and boost domestic oil and gas production. “On Day 1, I will approve new drilling, pipelines, refineries, and power plants,” he declared. He also targeted Biden’s climate policies, saying, “We will terminate these Green New Deal atrocities and bring energy independence back to America.”

In the education sector, Trump criticized the progressive agenda in schools, announcing plans to strip federal funding from institutions promoting what he described as divisive ideologies. “No school teaching critical race theory or transgender insanity will receive taxpayer money,” he said. Additionally, he promised to end Title IX protections for transgender students, claiming, “We must protect our kids from these dangerous ideologies.”

Foreign policy also featured prominently in the interview, with Trump making the bold claim that he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. “I know all the players, and I’ll bring them to the table,” he said, without providing specific details on his strategy.

The former president also addressed the ongoing legal battles involving his allies and supporters. “The moment we win, I will pardon every patriot who has been politically persecuted,” he said, referring to those charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol riots. Trump further committed to removing Special Counsel Jack Smith, stating, “We will clean house and end the weaponization of our justice system.”

Trump’s vision for immediate action also extends to social policies. He pledged to revoke Biden-era executive orders on gender equity and restrict funding for gender-affirming care. “We will stop taxpayer dollars from promoting these radical and harmful treatments,” he said.

These remarks reflect Trump’s intent to take bold steps from day one, setting the stage for what he describes as “the most transformative administration ever.” His outlined agenda has sparked enthusiasm among his supporters but raised questions about its feasibility and the potential legal challenges it could face.

While his plans echo the themes of his first term, the interview underscores Trump’s readiness to reassert his leadership with a renewed focus on rapid and decisive change.
