“Dharmaveer-2,” produced by Mangesh Desai of Sahil Motion Arts and Umesh Kumar Bansal of Zee Studios, is written and directed by Pravin Tarde. The first film, “Dharmaveer,” released in 2022, was a superhit, but according to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, “Dighe Saheb’s contributions are so extensive that they cannot be encapsulated in just one film.”
The first film’s success has set high expectations for the sequel. Salman Khan, reflecting on the previous film’s impact, said, “I had come for the first movie’s screening, and it was a big hit. I hope and pray that this one will be an even bigger hit.”
Anand Dighe, affectionately known as ‘Dharmaveer,’ was celebrated not just for his political influence but for his unwavering support to people of all religions, castes, and creeds. Chief Minister Shinde reminisced, “Dighe Saheb not only championed Hindutva but also protected the entire society, offering help to people of all backgrounds. No needy person ever left his presence without receiving assistance.”

His last film, “Tiger 3,” was well-received, and he also featured in Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan.” His next film, “Sikandar,” is set to release on Eid next year.
