Stalin ridicules Sanatan but Modi puts Tamil ethos on the center stage of G20

New Delhi: It looks like Diwali has arrived early in Delhi as it is all decked up to host the G20 summit in Bharat mandapam, the venue of G20 summit, starting from today. Adorning the venue, the Nataraja statue is representative of Tamil traditions & culture.

While on the one side Tamil Nadu CM Stalin son’s Minister Udhaynidhi called for ‘annihilation of Sanatan’, PM Modi placed the world’s largest 27 ft tall Nataraja statue, made from ‘Ashtadhatu’ (eight metals), in the center stage of G20 summit.

Modi, while sharing a post about the statue on the social media platform-X, said “The magnificent Nataraja statue at Bharat Mandapam brings to life aspects of our rich history and culture. As the world gathers for the G20 summit, it will stand as a testament to India’s age-old artistry and traditions.”

The New Indian Team captured the Nataraja statue from the ground yesterday.

The magnificent statue, weighing around 20 tons, is an iconic representation of Lord Shiva and holds immense artistic, religious and spiritual significance. It is made from the lost wax technique, an ancient sculpting technique from the Chola period.

Recently, Tamil Nadu Minister of Youth Welfare and Rural Development Udhaynidhi ridiculed Sanatan Dharma and compared it with ‘dengue and malaria’ that needs to be eradicated. 

This has sparked reactions from across the country against the statement calling for ‘annihilation of Sanatan Dharma’.
