NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has granted custody parole to former Aam Aadmi Party councillor Tahir Hussain, allowing him to complete the formalities for filing his nomination papers in the upcoming 2025 Assembly elections. Hussain is contesting from the Mustafabad constituency on an AIMIM ticket.   Justice Neena Bansal Krishna directed the State to ensure smooth facilitation of the nomination process, stating, “The Respondent/State shall coordinate with the concerned authorities to ensure the applicant’s right to file his nomination is not hindered.” The last date for nominations is January 17, with scrutiny scheduled for January 18, and polling set for February 5.   The court placed stringent conditions on Hussain’s parole.
