Drishti IAS has been accused of operating eight classrooms in the basement at Nehru Vihar, which is 25 feet beneath the surface level, despite regulations permitting basement usage only for storage purposes.

Hundreds of students staged a massive protest outside the Drishti IAS coaching center in North West Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar against the owner, Vikas Divyakirti. They are raising questions about the use of the basement for library purposes. The agitation began after three students died when the basement of Rau’s Study Circle got flooded.

MCD has issued a notice regarding the misuse of property by the Drishti Coaching Centre owned by Vikas Divyakirti. The coaching centre is located in the basement of the Single Unit Local Shopping Centre, Vardhman Mall, Nehru Vihar, Delhi-110054. The property in question includes the combined basement of Towers 1, 2, and 3. This use is reported to violate Clause 15.9 of the Master Plan for Delhi 2021 (MPD-2021).
