The Central Government has directed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to cancel the recent advertisement for lateral entry posts in the Central Government. The directive is issued under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
UPSC India is offering ₹2.7 lakh monthly salary for Joint Secretary level posts, ₹2.3 lakh for Director level posts and ₹1.52 lakh for Deputy Secrerary level posts.
Majid Khalil Ahmad Drabu, a relative of separatist Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, is considered a political appointee.
