Campaigning for the impending Wayanad by-election, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra blasted the BJP on Monday for "politicizing" the devastating landslides that struck Wayanad in July.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi expressed her admiration for the resilience shown by the residents in the face of recent tragedies and extended her support in their continued fight for justice and development.
She accused the BJP government of handing over the education system to "mafia" and "corrupt" entities, leading to widespread exam irregularities. The verbal exchange intensified after several national exams faced disruptions.
Rahul Gandhi, expressing his deep connection with both Rae Bareli and Wayanad, stated, "I have an emotional connection with both constituencies. I was an MP from Wayanad for the last five years and I thank the people for their love and support. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will fight from Wayanad, but I will also periodically visit. Rae Bareli has been close to my heart, and I am happy to represent them again, although it was a tough decision."
