The Indian Army hosted the Army Sports Conclave 2024 on December 30 in Delhi Cantt, fostering sports excellence and discussing India’s 2036 Olympic bid.
Among the honorees were 14 of the 24 LPU student Olympians, including wrestling star Vinesh Phogat and Indian hockey player Mandeep Singh.
Chopra revealed that he plans to stay in Switzerland for another month to participate in the upcoming Diamond League meets. He is currently training in Magglingen, where the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport is located.
Phogat was eliminated for being overweight ahead of her final bout against USA’s Sarah Ann Hildebrandt on Wednesday, despite defeating World and Olympic 50kg champion Yui Susaki on Tuesday night.
