Former Punjab CM and Congress candidate Charanjit Singh Channi, who lost both the seats he contested in the February 2022 Assembly elections, won the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. He defeated BJP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku by a margin of 1,75,993 votes, AAP’s Pawan Kumar Tinu by a margin of 1,81,164, and Shiromani Akali Dal’s Mohinder Singh Kaypee by a margin of 3,22,142.
