This announcement was made on Wednesday by Arun Singh, the national general secretary of the BJP, who presented the list of prominent campaigners to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) J&K PK Pole.

In a significant development, Raj Thackeray, accompanied by his son Amit Thackeray, arrived in Delhi late Monday night, sparking rumours about potential political alliances and election strategies.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) also announced the designation of four branches of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) — specifically, JKPL (Mukhtar Ahmed Waza), JKPL (Bashir Ahmad Tota), JKPL (Ghulam Mohammad Khan), and JKPL (Aziz Sheikh) under the leadership of Yaqoob Sheikh — as 'Unlawful Associations'.

"The implementation of CAA will make the country unsafe, and create a law-and-order situation," Kejriwal asserted. He also condemned the allocation of taxpayers' funds to minorities from other nations, deeming it unacceptable.

Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the move, stating it fulfills the promise to minorities persecuted on religious grounds in the specified countries. The CAA, coupled with the government's plan for a National Register of Citizens (NRC), had sparked nationwide protests over concerns about exclusion of Muslims.
