NEW DELHI: India clinched the 2024 ICC Menโs T20 World Cup last month, defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final at Kensington Oval, Barbados, on June 29. This victory marked the end of Indiaโs 11-year drought for an ICC trophy.
Following the win, led by Rohit Sharma, the BCCI announced a prize of Rs 125 crore for the Indian team. Captain Rohit Sharma received the Rs 125 crore cheque during the celebratory event at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, July 4.
Media sources revealed on Monday (July 8) details of the prize money distribution for Indiaโs 2024 T20 World Cup squad. Each of the 15 squad members is slated to receive Rs 5 crore, while head coach Rahul Dravid will receive Rs 2.50 crore.
In the T20 World Cup 2024, 12 players participated in eight matches for India, with all 15 squad members set to receive Rs 5 crore each.
Additionally, Indiaโs coaching staff, including batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip, will also receive Rs 2.50 crore each.

Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and other members of the selection committee are slated to receive Rs 1 crore each.
Reserve players Shubman Gill, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, and Rinku Singh, who traveled with the team to the USA and West Indies, will each receive Rs 1 crore. Other support staff members, including three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two masseurs, and the strength and conditioning coach, will receive Rs 2 crore each.
A total of 42 people were part of the Indian contingent for the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA. This group includes players, Team Indiaโs video analyst, BCCI staff such as media officers, and the teamโs logistics manager, all of whom are set to receive rewards. According to a BCCI source, players and support staff have been informed about their prize money and instructed to submit invoices.
