NEW DELHI: Actress Sunny Leone graced Varanasi on Thursday, draped in a captivating pink suit that resonated with the city’s vibrant hues. Her spiritual journey commenced with the devout performance of the Ganga Puja at Ganga ghat, preceding a visit paid at the Baba Vishwanath temple.

She was there, along with the controversial suspended IAS officer Abhishek Singh, reportedly to promote their song ‘Third Party’. The song, on T-Series’ official YouTube channel, boasts lyrics like ‘There’s no third party in my party,’ with Singh donning a black outfit and a red jacket, while Leone exuded glamour in a red top and skirt in the 2-minute 53-second video.

As she emerged amidst her fans and admirers, their enthusiasm posed a challenge for local authorities to maintain order. Later in the evening, she engaged in the scheduled Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, sharing this spiritual experience with former IAS officer Abhishek Singh.

Leone meticulously participated in the rituals following the traditions and culture of the aarti. Her devotion was acknowledged by Ganga Seva Nidhi officials, who honoured her with traditional garments, souvenirs, and sacred prasad, presented by prominent figures like Chairman Sushant Mishra and Treasurer Ashish Tiwari.

Before her participation at the Ghat, Leone sought blessings at the holy place of Kashi Vishwanath Temple and arrived at Dashashwamedh Ghat via a boat from Ganga Dwaar. Earlier, in a conversation at a hotel in Jagatganj, Leone expressed her thrill about exploring Banaras, echoing her immense anticipation after hearing tales about the city.

Accompanied by former IAS officer Abhishek Singh, she shared her excitement, while Singh expressed his dismay over the incident involving Nana Patekar and his fan, who the actor slapped on the nape, advocating against such treatment of celebrities.
