SRINAGAR: In a decisive move to combat the growing challenge of substance abuse, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Imtiyaz Hussain, revealed significant achievements by the police in 2024.
Describing drug abuse as a critical issue in Srinagar, the SSP emphasized its gravity, stating that while counter-terrorism measures have seen success, drug trafficking remains a pressing concern. He affirmed that law enforcement is intensifying its efforts to dismantle drug syndicates and hold offenders accountable.
The SSP also called for collective action, urging families, educators, and civil society to take an active stance in preventing substance abuse. “Public awareness and collaborative efforts are essential for eradicating this menace,” he stated.
