NEW DELHI: In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell has uncovered a major drug trafficking network linked to D-Company, following a Rs 5000 crore cocaine bust. The investigation has revealed intricate connections spanning from India to Dubai, involving high-profile individuals and political links.

The probe has identified Dubai as a crucial hub in the drug trafficking operations orchestrated by D-Company. A prominent businessman based in Dubai has emerged as a significant supplier of cocaine. Dubai’s reputation as a safe zone for drug trafficking has long been known to law enforcement agencies, and this case further underscores the city’s role in the global narcotics trade.

Central to the investigation is Tushar Goyal, alias Dikki, a key figure in the drug racket. Goyal’s interrogation has shed light on the Dubai connection and the logistics of the drug operations. Mumbai also plays a pivotal role, with a major consignment of cocaine destined for the city. Bharat, a receiver-based in Mumbai, had travelled to Delhi to collect the drugs, highlighting the extensive network involved.

Adding a political dimension to the case, Tushar Goyal has claimed connections with the Congress party. During interrogation, Goyal revealed that he served as the Chairman of the RTI Cell for the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee until 2022. His social media profiles, under the name ‘Dikki Goyal’, corroborate his political ties, featuring photos with several Congress leaders.

However, the Congress party has distanced itself from Goyal, stating that he was expelled from the party in 2022. This revelation has added a layer of complexity to the investigation, as authorities delve deeper into the political connections and their implications.

The Special Cell is determined to uncover the full extent of the drug network and its connections. Investigators are focusing on identifying high-profile users in Mumbai and tracing the financial trails linked to the drug operations. The interrogation of key figures continues, with further details expected to emerge in the coming days.
