When the suspicious truck was spotted and challenged to stop, it accelerated past the post despite multiple warnings. The alert troops gave chase for over 23 kilometres, eventually firing shots aimed at the vehicleโ€™s tyres, bringing it to a stop at Sangrama Chowk.

Following a thorough search of the vehicle, the injured driver was swiftly transported to GMC Baramulla by the security forces, where he was declared dead.

The truck, fully loaded with apple boxes, has been impounded and taken to the nearest police station for a meticulous search. Meanwhile, an investigation into the driverโ€™s history and potential affiliations is actively ongoing.
