NEW DELHI: Akshay Kumar’s action-drama Sky Force, co-starring Veer Pahariya, has crossed the Rs 80 crore mark at the domestic box office within six days of its release. However, the film’s momentum appears to be slowing down on weekdays, making it uncertain whether it will reach the Rs 100 crore milestone in its first week.

On its opening day, Sky Force made a strong debut with Rs 12.15 crore in collections. The weekend proved even better, with collections rising to Rs 22 crore on Saturday and hitting Rs 28 crore on Sunday. This brought the three-day total to approximately Rs 62.25 crore.

Despite a solid weekend, the weekday collections have tapered off, averaging between Rs 5-7 crore per day, bringing its total to Rs 80.75 crore by the end of Day 6. The film’s growth prospects are now under pressure, as it faces competition from Shahid Kapoor’s much-anticipated action film Deva, set to release on January 31.

With Deva expected to draw substantial audience interest, Sky Force may experience a dip in footfalls, hindering its ability to hit the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of its first week. Although its domestic collections may be slowing, the film has likely already surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone globally, including its worldwide gross collections.

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force is set during the 1965 India-Pakistan War and also stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan. While the competition looms large, it remains to be seen whether Sky Force can maintain its momentum and become the first Bollywood film of 2025 to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.
